On the 19 March 2019, one of BIMHN’s members attended the NHS South West Leadership Academy’s (SWLA) Inclusion Network Event. Normally, events in this series are attended by representative from BIMHN, but on this occasion, this member stepped in.
The goal of the SWLA is to develop leadership at every level of the NHS, with the philosophy that great leadership translates to better patient care, experience and outcomes. The SWLA works with partners to deliver and develop tools, models, programmes and expertise to support individuals, organisations and local partners to develop leaders, celebrating and sharing where outstanding leadership makes a real difference.
This inclusion network event provided an opportunity for local members and partners to come together and collaboratively discuss the work and operation of the SWLA. This’s report provides an interesting insight into this development work from the perspective of voluntary sector organisation, of which BIMHN is one.
