The Bristol Mental Health Crisis Line (24 hours) is staffed by dedicated clinical staff who can assist and respond to a crisis. Call them on 0300 555 0334

Samaritans (24 hours) – 0117 983 1000 (local call charges apply) / 116 123 (free to call)

YoungMinds Crisis Messenger Service (24 hours) – text ‘YM’ to 85258 for support via text.

Your local GP surgery may be able to schedule you an emergency appointment. For more details, call your local surgery. Additionally, the NHS’ ‘111’ telephone service may also be able to arrange an appointment for you.

The Bristol Sanctuary can provide a place to go during an episode of acute mental or emotional distress.

Accident and Emergency departments can also provide support. The following list is of Accident and Emergency departments in the Bristol area. All are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including bank holidays.
